Wheelchair Sports Camp
Unit E Records' partnership with Wheelchair Sports Camp is a perfect example of our dedication to promoting the work of exceptional artists who we feel define our generation. The band's front-person, Kalyn Heffernan, is a lyrical cypher whose powerful words resonate with audiences of all abilities and backgrounds. We firmly believe that music has the power to inspire and unite (get it?!...), and we are proud to work with Wheelchair Sports Camp to achieve this goal.
Wes Watkins
A dynamic force in the music world, Wes Watkins seamlessly blends soul and rock, folk and funk, hip-hop, jazz, and classical musics to create a sound uniquely his own. From his formative years at the Denver School of the Arts, through making the most of limited resources with ingenuity and perseverance, to managing every aspect of his career, Wes's journey continues to be as compelling as his music. His eclectic background includes stints in various bands such as Petals of Spain, Rowdy Shadehouse, Air Dubai, and iZcalli, before embarking on international tours and late-night show appearances with Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats during their early records.
Isaiah "Ikey" Owens
Isaiah "Ikey" Owens was a Grammy-winning keyboardist and producer, best known for his influential work with The Mars Volta and Jack White. Renowned for his eclectic style and dynamic performances, Owens was a pioneering force in alternative and experimental music, leaving an indelible mark on the industry. His innovative approach shaped the sound of a generation, inspiring countless musicians with his creativity and passion. Beyond his own remarkable career, Owens was deeply committed to nurturing the next wave of talent, serving as a mentor to many young musicians across the country. His legacy continues to resonate, both through his recordings and the artists he helped to guide and inspire.
Wiredogs
Since 2012 Wiredogs has brought their brand of punk rock to venues, radio stations, and record stores across the country. Sharing the stage with legacy acts like Anti-Flag, Pennywise, Danzig, Fucked Up, and The Bronx, Wiredogs quickly solidified themselves as a mainstay in the Colorado music scene in the 2010's. Most recently the band, currently composed of members Dan Aid (guitar/vocals), Mark Hibl (bass), Austin Searcy (guitar), and Gregg Ziemba (drums) returned to Blasting Room Studios in the summer of 2023 to write and record their fifth studio album with friend and producer, Andrew Berlin. Working in collaboration with Denver based independent label UnitE Records, their new album, entitled Middle Life, will drop this fall.
